Weinschaenke Rohdental

General completion of the hike on the Weserberglandweg in Rohdental near Hessisch Oldendorf. We were right on the way in the Rohdental wine cellar. Good for our tired feet after 6 long stages. Hotel is fine and recommended according to the price structure. We took our dinner at the restaurant. Service was tidy and well trained. The restaurant was well filled with two celebrations and guests on the terrace, yet there were hardly any problems. A wine ordered did not arrive at the appropriate course, but it was immediately corrected. Food A rustic kitchen is offered in the map. At an apperitive we chose the following: Appetizer: smoked trout fillet from the self-drawn and smoked trout (a pond on the terrace). No reason to complain, good fillets with reasonable smoke flavour. Horseradish self-made. Main course: Zander with tomato sauce, somewhat unusual combination, but tasty. Fish well prepared. Also homemade Rehbockmedaillions. Well prepared, delicate pieces of meat, delicious. Also here: first page with overview of suppliers! Wines from the Palatinate family. Ordinary quality, but nothing we'd put in the basement. The Ambiente Landgasthof Ambiente. The price level of hotel and restaurant is appropriate. Cleanliness There was no reason to complain, rooms and restaurant were clean.

Wanted to go fine food at 4.30 p.m., but at this time no order is possible. Instead came a wedding soup and then beautiful cakes and coffee. Was not what we had imagined but we were tired. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Parking space: Plenty of parking

There are vegetarians and vegans who do not seem to have arrived in Rohdental. There's one vegetarian dish. Not even a vegetarian soup as an appetizer. Every food was served as a menu, except the vegetarian.
