Charolais Steakhouse - Hickory

The Charolais has been a staple in Hickory dining for several decades. Even with the change in ownership, this establishment has retained its charm and quality. The service is great, the food is great, and it is a good value. Michelle makes a great drink at the bar! The soup and salad bar is classic and fresh. The beef is great, and the other entrees and appetizers are also.

Wonderful Birthday dinner last night… from making the reservation to the check was flawless. The hostess was pleasant and prepared. Our table was beautiful. I found a favorite wine on the glass list, that rarely happens. It was delicious. The steak the side and the salad bar were perfect. All 6 people had a different steak temperature and everyone got exactly what they wanted. As a local whose been eating at the Charlaios for 30 years, Thank You for another delicious birthday dinner!!!

The food was very good. My steak was one of the best I ever had. Our server April P I believe was her name was one of the best. But the restaurant was so loud I couldn't hear my wife to hardly be able to have a conversation. And the restaurant was so HOT that we were very uncomfortable. The wait staff was wringing wet with sweat. And that was unpleasant to see. We went for restaurant week. And even though the food was good I couldn't recommend this a nice place to go.

I had the filet mignon thought it was good. They bring the steaks right to the table so you can look at them as to what's available I guess for that day

Not a huge fan. Ordered my steak Medium. It came medium with no sear. It was rubbery like it was slow cooked. I sent it back and it was a little better but still tough. My wife ordered well done. It came well seared and Medium in the middle which is what I wanted. Hers wasn't close to well. The Potato appetizer left a lot to be desired. The salad bar was great. It was not worth what it cost.
