Barnes Noble - Hickory

I attended a book signing event for Robert Beatty, and the turnout was fantastic! The staff did an excellent job managing the bustling crowd. We waited almost four hours to meet the author, but everyone stayed friendly and patient during the wait. I estimate that around 700 people were there for the event, not including regular customers and other business happening at the same time!

I really love B&N! When I visited to meet a friend, I couldn't help but take a relaxing stroll through the shelves. There were so many new books to browse. My favorite area is the bargain shelves, which showcase unique titles across various fascinating genres. The evening was tranquil during my visit, with just a few people in the café, enjoying their coffee and chatting softly. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends and explore new novels.

This is the smallest Barnes & Noble I’ve ever been to, but it was impressively well-stocked, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. In larger stores, you often don’t see any employees until you reach the checkout, but here we were greeted right away and directed to exactly what we were looking for within the first couple of minutes. Despite being a B&N, it has the warm and inviting atmosphere of a neighborhood bookstore.

TL;DR Standard B&N store, but service has been hit or miss recently. As far as the store and what they carry, it 's your bog standard B&N. I used to go in fairly regularly, just because it was a convenient book store. Unfortunately, the service during several of my recent interactions has definitely been lack luster. Most recently, I called to ask about whether or not they had something in an attempt to save a drive there if they were out. When I did, I was told they had so much that I 'd have to come look for [my]self to find out what they actually had. When we did go by, they didn 't have any of the specific item I was looking for in stock, and the entire category of items was sparse. I would have preferred it if the associate on the phone had just told me they didn 't feel like walking to that section of the store to look.

They have the book that you want, if don't you can order it and arrive in 7-10 days or less. Also there are a lot of table games, souvenirs, etc. I always buy presents for friends or family
