We had a friendly server. We noticed the manager was very busy filling in as the restaurant was very full and busy. Thank you! Much appreciated. Que Bueno!
Treating some friends from LA. They were impressed. The waitress (Millie? was exceptional, the food perfect. It can be noisy, but the place was not too busy, so we enjoyed a hassle-free and tasty looooong visit. Will go again... soon.
Not a busy night. Est 30-35 patrons total. Our server was faithful in having water on table and filling up chips/salsa. However, drinks were extremely slow coming and a few items were out of stock but we didn't get notified until a long wait with no explanation. I personally went to bar to see if they were packed with patrons...Only 2 seated at bar!! Also confusing b/c manager and two servers tried to attend to us but they didn't communicate so more confusion with who wanted what. Quality of food is always great, service was way under par compared to other visits.
My husband and I have been going here for quite sometime and recently the food quality has gone down hill a bit. Their chips and homemade tortillas continue to be amazing however, my husband ordered the fajitas and they did not come our sizzling and were luke warm. Like they had been reheated. We were also there a few weeks ago during the Thanksgiving break and the refried beans which are normally really good were very salty. The only reason why we came back was because we were given a $25 gift card. The ambiance and location as well as service are great but not sure what is going on with the kitchen and mgmt. Such a shame!
We tried Mas Amor when they first opened up and were not impressed, so it has been sometime since we had been back. We dined with a party of 5 on Saturday evening and the food was quite good! It has a pleasant surprise! The restaurant itself is pleasant and decorated well. The food was all tasty tacos, quesadilla, dips, taco salad and the Gorditas! We liked the thin chips much better than the thick ones that came with the guac and queso. The only negative, and it is potentially a big one, was the service. The host didn't welcome us and was not very friendly and didn't move with any sense of urgency. Our server was very friendly, but at times all of us had empty drinks and it took him a long time to come check on us. My dish said it came with sour cream and when it arrived there was none on it. I asked for some and it took 10 minutes for it to arrive. My food was warm when it arrived, but cold by the time the sour cream arrived. It still tasted excellent, but I would rather go to a mediocre tasting restaurant with killer service than a place that tastes great, but you are never checked on. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. There were empty tables. The manager brought our food and checked on us at the end and he was cleaning tables. He was very nice and I felt like he probably needed more help or to do some training. I work in the service industry and I know how tough it is. But you have to have energetic staff that know how to check on folks and communicate or else you will die on the vine. I think overall we will be back and hope it was just an off night with service. To those about to dine, I salute you! Good luck with the service!
