Chicken Express - Hico

Great food was great. there was a good service and it tasted great. I would recommend this restaurant for a party or a look back. it was great in my hico.

I typically love Chicken Express, but this location didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered a couple of sides, and the okra was cold. I ended up throwing away half of it because it left an oily residue in my mouth. It seemed like it had been prepared for someone else and wasn’t picked up for some reason.

We often pass through this area while commuting to visit family, and decided to stop in. I ordered the catfish basket, and I must say, it’s probably the best catfish I’ve ever had! They prepare it fresh on the spot, which is a good thing. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. The other person in our group had chicken tenders, but she wasn’t impressed with them; they seemed like they had been sitting for a while. However, she absolutely loved the catfish when I offered her some. Overall, it’s a fantastic little spot for a quick meal. I’d give it 5 stars, but the chicken tenders were a letdown.

The server who took our order was extremely friendly! We requested several extras, and she gladly accommodated us. It was a great experience!
