Could not say enough good things about this bed and breakfast. From the moment we entered, we felt calm and welcomed. The structure itself and the rooms are just beautiful amazing views over the valley below. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. We could have stayed and eaten all day. Had a wonderful tour in the morning and met all the animals. Cannot wait to go back.
Couldn't say enough good things about this bed and breakfast. From the moment we entered, we felt calm and greeted. The structure itself and the rooms are just a beautiful view over the valley below. The accommodation consists of 5 cozy rooms, with spacious common areas where guests can store their beverages and snacks in the large fridge. Just next to the hotel is the charming Tiniest Herd barn, home to a delightful family of goats who eagerly await scratches from passersby. The highlight of our stay was the delicious breakfasts prepared by the hotel manager, Reya, served promptly from 8:30 to 9:30 each morning. Reya's culinary creations, including mini quiches, pancakes, and cheddar scones, were accompanied by excellent coffee that didn't require us to bring our own creamer. Leftover food was thoughtfully packed in the fridge for later snacking, a thoughtful touch that we appreciated. Reya also shared captivating stories of her experiences in animal rescue, making our stay truly memorable. Guests can enjoy a private tour on Fridays at 5, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the animal sanctuary. We also joined a public tour to learn more about the residents, making sure to wear boots that could be easily rinsed off as we explored the pens and barns. The newly opened Bunny Barn allowed us to interact with the animals, including feeding alfalfa to the friendly cow, Colin. The knowledgeable guide, Anna, impressed us with her familiarity with each animal's name, and we were delighted to see children on the tours learning about farming in a respectful manner. The opportunity to volunteer at the sanctuary was enticing, and we plan to participate on our next visit. With 400 animals and 150 acres to explore, there is much to see and do at the Gray Barn, making us eager to return. However, bookings fill up quickly as the Barn is only open Thursday to Sunday, with availability already limited for the remainder of the year. We highly recommend planning ahead to secure your spot at this tranquil and enriching retreat.
I had an amazing experience at this place. I celebrated my first wedding anniversary at this incredible property, which is fully vegan. As a vegan myself, I was thrilled to have a space that aligned with my dietary preferences. The sanctuary and the impactful work of this organization left a lasting impression on me.
