Highfields Tavern

I initially reserved a table for ten people at this restaurant. I later called to increase the number to 12 and then 14, but each time I received an email confirming the request for a table for 10. This was disappointing. To make matters worse, they expected two people to share a table with others seated in between two tables. On a positive note, the food was served quickly, portions were generous, and the quality of the food was good.

The travellers for health and safety at work have not been addressed since the last time we were there shortly before Christmas 2022. I suggested that they put tables over the top of the dangers, so that few people would have a chance to escape. The employee said he would mention it to his big boss. I really hope this happened.

We only have one complaint: the salad consisted only of lettuce and a single tomato slice. A salad should include a variety of ingredients to avoid being so bland. However, my steak was outstanding, the service was prompt and pleasant, despite the restaurant being understaffed.

Great seafood share platter. Perfect for New Year Eves dinner. ???? we enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Best meal I’ve had here. Happy New Year ????????????????????????

The food and service was excellent with the food being brought out fast I would highly recommend the Highfields Tavern
