They had ran out of basil and they split the last strawberry for our two drinks. We sent them back because they were lackluster. The waiter was happy to replace them with GnT with lemon and rosemary but these were watery and couldn't taste anything but lemon. Then we ordered the croquettes and chorizo bomb. While they were alright they were extremely small for $4 bucks a pop, and much thinner than the traditional Spanish version. The patatas bravas were ok but price for $9.The service was the best thing as the waiter was friendly but that's about it. Music was a bit loud even outside. We were going to celebrate my wife's birthday there in a couple of weeks but we have changed our minds and will look for another GnT bar instead...What a shame!
We had a meal here with a group of friends. It was a Tapas style meal, although every course was very large. Food average. More a bar than a restaurant and over priced.
First time there. Really good food. Limited gin menu. Music too loud. Would be cool if they switched the lights on inside- really dark, can't even read the menu.
First time I came to Enrique's it was a happening place with a great way of mixing it up with Gin and Tonic. The last time was a shallow reflection of its former self. Gone was the menu offering multiple gins, tonics and garnishes. In its place were a few preset combinations and a grossly overpriced food menu. On top of that, the mood was challenged by dim lighting and poor acoustics. Conversation was impossible because of the noise level of other patrons (not loud but poor design meant all noise carried). I'll put up with noise for something interesting, but you seem to have lost your edge. Please find it again.
Had been wanting to go here for ages but was left really disappointed. The staff member was really unfriendly and unwelcoming. He told us to take a seat as he was finishing opening up since the bar opened at 5 on a Wednesday. When he came over to take our order, we asked him about the gin tonicas that were advertised on the menu as $8 during 5pm-6pm and decided to order 2. It was 5 on my watch, but when we went to pay he charged us full price, knowing that we had asked specifically about the happy hour drinks, stating that we had ordered before 5. Fair enough if it really was before 5 (which I'm not convinced it was since the bar doesn't open until 5 so surely shouldn't be taking orders before then!) but any other bar I've been in or worked in, if it's 1 minute to 5, will mention to customers that if they wait 1 minute to order, it'll be happy hour. Considering we were the only people in the bar the service wasn't great which was a let down. We would have ordered a different gin & tonic if we had known we would have been charged $12 for them! Disappointed.
