You will have to choose your selection of goodies from the display cabinet and there are beautiful cupcakes, salmon/asparagus quiche, pumpkin/goats cheese quiche, carrot cakes, almond/orange cake to name a few. What we had was delicious.
The is a beautiful and elegant place to enjoy coffee and cake or a light lunch. The tables are always set and the addition of fresh flowers gives it class and sophistication. The cakes are divine and the coffee is delicious. They also serve a number of very special teas. Service is friendly and efficient.
We were looking forward to high tea at Rochelle Adonis as a nice end to our holiday but it was anything but. We have had high teas all around the world and this would have to have been the worst. The noise factor was overwhelming! A baby shower was going on behind pulled curtains (which aren’t a sound barrier) and were so raucous we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Miserly servings of four courses, I would not have called any of them a course. One cucumber sandwich each, one thin sandwich. The food was not of high tea caliber. Sweet corn soup in a shot glass, really? It just went further downhill from there. Lack lustre service abounded. I could go on but I don’t want to waste anymore if my time thinking about this disaster. Just wished we’d checked the reviews before we went because we certainly wouldn’t have bothered. What a waste of time and money.
After many years of anticipation we visited Rochelle Adonis. Upon entry for the first sitting of the day, I noticed the place was in need of a good clean. The floor had crumbs from the previous day, walls were scuffed and teacup on the table was filthy. The silver sugar bowl had grubby fingerprints on it also. Disappointing that tea and coffee is an extra cost on top of the high tea. Service was great though and waitstaff very friendly. Unfortunately, it was rather disappointing and there are far nicer places to go in Perth for high tea.
I sent my daughter with her daughter to High Tea without me as I had to fly to Melbourne on that Sunday. Had a morning tea there a couple of weeks before and loved the place, so thought it would be a nice treat for them. I did ask about children and they said they can cater for younger tastes. Sadly this did not happen and although the food was excellent, a lot of it was way too strong for an eleven year old to eat.
