Go here for a quick dinner of a very tasty sandwich, salad or flat bread. Sarah is simply amazing what she can do with such a small kitchen prep area. I've met the most amazing people because Sarah is such a great small business owner. She brings people together is a big supporter of local artists. Highly recommend.
A wonderful cozy neighborhood place to meet up with friends. Sarah Knaus has a nice selection of wine including Proseco. Beer is also available. If you need a bite, try her charcuterie plate, flatbreads, soups, and salads. She just added chicken salad, that’s my “go to”.If you enjoy shopping, there is a nice selection of affordable copper, silver, bronze, ceramic, and beaded jewelry. Lisa Knaus, a very well known local potter and instructor, has the best designed mugs that retain heat for a long time. She even makes some of her bowls and vases out of black Montauk sand! This gallery is a great place to pick up a house warming gift, a bridal shower gift, or a last minute birthday gift.Check out the monthly art show which typically features local painters. The Gallery is filled paintings and prints with a wide range of prices and eclectic styles. Well known local painter and instructor, George Knaus, has a permanent installation at this gallery. He has over-sized works that can fill a mansion or smaller works of warm and idyllic scenes that would complement smaller homes with less wall space.Oh, just one more thing…sisters Nisa and Rosa Knaus have artfully written and illustrated a few “small” books of their own. They are on display as you enter the building. So, just realized that the whole Knaus family has poured their heart into this little and cozy establishment. This is a place for one stop shopping, drinking, dining, and browsing. For me…it’s become “The Cheers of Highland”!When it gets nice out, I’m the one at the high top table with a drink catching some sun!
Quant gallery/ wine bar. Beautiful hand made pottery, jewelry and art work.
My friend Brendan and I had a lovely experience here today with nicely prepared food and wine and much hospitality from the owner, Sarah Knaus. The art is beautiful and sophisticated, and the pottery is pretty and whimsical. I bought two small, very modestly priced pieces that are a great addition to my collection.
Small but excellent place for a great glass of wine and good conversation! Delicious sandwiches and flatbreads available as well, made on site. My husband and I have been regulars here for several years. Nice area to eat outdoors, too.
