Aasai Hangout - Hillside

I have been going to this spot since they opened but the customer service has gone way way WAY down hill. I work in the area and this is one of the healthier options for lunch so order delivery a lot. I have gone in person but the wait times are pretty lengthy even when the place is totally empty so I decided to put in an order for pick up through door dash. When I ordered the pick up time was over an hour later which I find unacceptable for a smoothy bowl and a Cesar salad with croutons and extra dressing, so once I saw how long it would take I tried to cancel through the app, unfortunately I was told that my order was being prepared and I couldn 't cancel. Ok whatever, I decide to just stop by and wait for my stuff thinking if they 're busy I will just hang out and if they 're empty they would make my stuff as if I had just walked in off the street. I show up and the clerk immediately has an attitude and told me to come back in 39 ,minutes to which I said no as the place was 100% empty. There was literally not one single customer in the store. The clerk assumed I was a dasher which I 'm not and refused to make my order. So I asked, what if I had walked in off the street and ordered food would you make it now? and she said yes, so I asked if they could make my food as if I walked in off the street. Getting no where she told me no again and asked me to come back in 39 minutes again. At that point exasperated, I said I would just place and pay for a new order, so they could make my food, at which point she finally acquiesced and agreed to make it without me paying again. Ok cool, whatever customer service isn 't everyone 's thing and I did come earlier than the pick up window so fine. It took maybe five minutes for them to make my food which just illustrated why her request for me to come back in 39 minutes when the restaurant is totally empty is completely unnecessary but again fine. Then when I thanked her for my food and she tells me next time I have to come within the pick up window. No ma 'am there will be no next time. Listen if the place was busy or anyone in the store was doing anything other than scrolling on their phone when I walked in, I would have understood but please don 't treat me like feeding me is a burden when I purchase food from your RESTAURANT! Like come on that 's kind of the deal here I pay you and you feed me. Bottom line the food is ok (not amazing but certainly fine) but probably go with delivery or be prepared to wait for a while. Also, if you want a pleasant customer service experience and better food, definitely go with Playa Bowl or Poke 22 instead! That 's certainly what I 'll be doing going forward.

It wasn't what I thought. It was a bowl full of chocolate and coconut, I wouldn't recommend the açaí bowls, just go have some desert. Heard the salads are better.

I love this place food is amazing! Price is nice if you go with friends. The food was splendid! Customer service is excellent! I will most definitely be returning.

Honestly better than Playa Bowls!!! Authentic Brazilian with a crazy variety of drizzles (Nutella, peanut butter, condensed milk, almond butter, etc . You can also choose your granola (plain, blueberry, or mixed which has nuts and raisins and is my FAVORITEEEEE. you can also choose your base (Açai, pitaya, or banana I like pitaya it's sweeter than Açai. They also sell burger there along with chicken and pork sandwiches. Fried are very good! I do not recommend getting it delivered it doesn't taste great melted!

I love it here! Everything is tasty and fresh. The customer service is pretty good too, they're very nice and patient.
