The potato skins were hard and flavorless, the fish tacos were cold, and the chicken strips were so skinny and over cooked they didn't even look like meat anymore. They also did not give us the proper meals. They gave us a chicken sandwich instead of a second fish taco and they gave us a corned beef sandwich instead of a Ruben. After tasting the rest of the food we decided it wasn't worth calling the restaurant to correct the error- it wasn't worth wasting the gas to drive back to the restaurant for our proper meals. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area and there is no reason to ever order here. Save yourself the disappointment.
We had a large pick up order for a family of 7. Not only were we missing items, got the wrong meal entirely and was not prepared properly but all of the meals were poorly cooked at that. Pictured is a burnt gross potato skin. The chicken tenders were so over cooked they looked like fried chicken skins. Not a single good thing to say about our meals. If this is the quality they put out then I don?t understand how their rating is as high as it is.
I made reservations in May for three couples for Lobster Night on June 6th. We ordered lobsters for five out of the six guests. After a 15-minute wait for our table, we placed our orders for drinks and salads along with our entrees. About 30 minutes later, our lobsters arrived before we even got our salads. Lobster Night is advertised as a whole 1 1/4 lb lobster served with corn on the cob and potatoes, but what we received were cold, overcooked mini lobster tails with a tiny potato and a small piece of corn. We sent everything back and asked to speak with the owner, whom we had met upon arrival. Instead, the manager came over and informed us that the owner had gone home. He explained there had been an issue with the truck delivery that day. I inquired why I hadn't received a call about this, especially since I had placed a special order in advance. He mentioned they only figured it out when they opened, which felt like a weak excuse. He attempted to offer some compensation, but ultimately, poor management and staffing issues led to a disappointing dining experience. Significant improvements are needed before we would consider returning. I'm really disappointed!
We used to go to Riley's South End for Prime Rib Night and Lobster Night, but after moving to the North End, we decided to try The North End Pour House for Friday Night Prime Rib Night. It was fantastic! Our waitress Shannon was a delight—excellent service and such a sweet young lady. The prime rib was AMAZING! We enjoyed it so much that we returned for the Monday Night Lobster Special, and once again, we received outstanding service from Shannon and the general manager, Victoria. As a special treat, we also had the chance to meet and chat with Chef Gregory Green. Thank you, Chef, for another wonderful meal and for taking the time to visit with us. We will definitely be back regularly!
This is a wonderful little place! The chicken pot pie is absolutely delicious, and Frank was exceptionally friendly and made some fantastic drinks. There was also nice live music. I definitely recommend it!
