The Purple Cow - Hilton Head

We had an EXCELLENT experience on the purple cow! This is a woman show doing everything!!! We were there early and she was almost sold out! She had made many goodies for the day, they were just so fast because the ones who know.... Move! She can't make things fast enough. All we got was tasty and unique... their baked heated donuts with customer-specific Icing are so unique. Go early or order the day before, because your oven can only bake so much, you don't want to miss. Next time we will order the day before. The owner was definitely tired when she had just finished the Easter weekend, but she was friendly and enthusiastic about her art. She was very grateful that we stopped seeing her and tasting her goodies.

Excellent! Love, Love, Love, Love The Purple Cow! We ordered 6 vegan and 6 regular donuts. My wife was responsible and got every (I and the children) order in the night before. She sent our order by e-mail at night before about 8:00. We have an email at 1:30 that our donuts would be ready to pick up at 8:30. Fortunately, they had some tables and chairs in front of the building and I didn't have to eat my donuts in the car. I would have tried, and I would have done a big mess. I can't describe how good the vegan donuts were. Everyone loved their donuts! Very cool place, cool owner and the donuts are excellent. My wife enjoys her Purple Cow shirt!

The best bakery I was in! Bernie opened her doors with a smile and from the moment she announced the menu, her customers saw their passion on the display! Your baked goods were delicious. She's really a nice soul with incredible talent. Brownie was the best dessert I cost. Bernie's staff is efficient and hard working. It was refreshing to see a group of young people who support them and work so hard! Bernie worked at night to prepare goods for the next day, and it is clear that she takes care of her work. Go there early because it will sell, but you will not find a better person than Bernie or a better bakery than the Purple Cow. It will be a tradition on our HHI trips!

Don't run here! This is the most beautiful bakery on the island. All I had from here is incredible and the woman who runs it is nothing but the most wonderful and friendly person you will meet. The donuts are by far the best on the island. They're so rich and filled that I was stuffed after just one. The selection of baked goods offered depends on what it can do on this day. Do not despair if it does not have exactly what you have seen on the menu; every baked product from Purple Cow is sure to be amazing. Then the coffee is just as fantastic. Nothing is more satisfying than a large cup of hot coffee with wonderful breakfast bakeries to start in the morning. If you don't drive in the car or on your bike just what are you waiting for?! I hear the donuts can sell out (there is no surprise). Enjoy!

Every time we are in Hilton Head we go to the Purple Cow! Both the kids and adults look forward to all the delicious treats. We get one of everything because we have never been disappointed and don’t want to miss out on a new creation. My favorites are the cinnamon roll and the salted caramel cinnamon roll. I love them so much I had them shipped to me for my birthday; it was so worth it too! I recommend this place to all my friends, family and acquaintances that say they are visiting the island. Get in early because it’s so yummy they sell out fast each day. Also you can place an order the day before via email which comes in handy if you are the bunch that likes to sleep in.
