Made to feel worthless asking staff for refill. Really disappointed. Won't be returning. Scolded by staff member, apparently in her way of clearing up. Really bad taste left in mouth celebrating what should have been a joyous occasion.
Stopped in for Lunch yesterday-Staff at the bar were fantastic. Everything was too easy-food was good (schnitzel of course) came quick and they have a good beer selection on tap. It's not pretentious or try hard-it's dressed up like a pub-really enjoyed it.
Service good, food arrived promptly. Staff very willing to help. Would I eat there again only if I was going to entertainment centre and other areas were booked. Food choice not wide. Wife had curry which was ok but no rice. And I had the mushroom burger. The burger a real let down. Just a roll from Coles or Woolworths with some fried mushrooms and a bit of salad dressing. Even McDonald's do better with their buns from the creation menu. Place ok not terrible but if you can there are better options nearby if you book early.
Dips were nice, schnitzel good, s&p calamari still had the awful skin on it making it unpleasant to eat and ensuring the crumbs fell off. Our waitress wasn't great, when we asked to please have a more private table (only 2 couples dining and she was going to put us right between them) she said "sure take someone else's table" and turned and led us to another table. :| Awkward.Used a voucher and glad we didn't pay full price. Will definitely continue to go to The Gov for pre dinner before Entertainment Centre shows.
We attended on a voucher, which was readily accepted by the polite young woman in charge, and were seated immediately. The pumpkin and parmesan dip together with the beetroot dip and warm grilled Pita bread was delicious. My husband chose Salt and Pepper Squid whilst I chose the Chicken Salad. Both courses were generous but the salad could have done with a little less dressing. A glass of white wine and a tonic water were included in the price, which was exceedingly good value for an unassuming suburban pub. The 'responsible' person who served us was a good natured and polite young man, who seemed responsible for all manner of things.
