The Saffron Waterfront - Hobart (TAS)

This restaurant always provides a fantastic dining experience. I have frequented it often and it is my go-to place to bring friends and visitors to Tasmania for a top-notch meal. You can't go wrong with this place. The prices are reasonable for the delicious food they offer. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine.

The dining experience was fantastic, which is the main highlight. However, the staff seemed inexperienced and made some minor errors. Despite booking a table for four, we were seated at a table for seven. When we requested to be moved to a table by the window, we were disappointed by the parking lot view instead of the bay. We started with a local sparkling rose, but received a sparkling chardonnay instead. The server seemed confused and unaware of our order. The main dishes, including butter chicken, Chennai prawns, saag wiper, and lamb korma, were all flavorful and aromatic. The Chennai dish was spicy but our group enjoyed it nonetheless. We opted to skip the vindaloo dish. Overall, the dining experience was great despite some minor hiccups.

The service at this restaurant is friendly and the curry is very good. I have tried two other Indian restaurants in Hobart, and this one is clearly the best. My only suggestion would be to offer a larger selection of wines available by the glass.

Enjoyed a wonderful Indian meal with my wife. Great service and superb Indian food. And it was a nice experience with great value for money. Will definitely go again, next time in Hobart
