Black Buffalo Tavern & Restaurant

The black buffalo hotel tavern offers good to very good food at excellent prices. It is not fine dining, and makes no pretense at being so. Go there and enjoy a generous sized meal (very generous) chosen from a surprisingly innovative menu. I loved the crumbed scallops, while my partner chose a huge chicken schnitzel. There are limited options however for wine by the glass.

If you want great food at very reasonable prices this is the place to go. great food good drinks and great staff

I had the beef cheeks, they were delicious, one of the best meals I have had here, glad we came back here again last time I had the lamb belly and it was not good very very fatty, also my better half love the steak, and the vegetables were lovely, will return again.

Went out with my partner Saturday night - decided on a dish to share and ordered...staff taking the order where flexible with our request regarding changing the deal from the Entertainment Book...Meal and salads arrived quickly - great meal...fresh sea food cooked well, good salad....staff attentive and friendly . All in all an enjoyable experience.

Down memory lane again 15 years at least since I've been here. Not a lot changed.Menu is varied good basic selection of fish, chicken and beef. I had the Red Pork Belly with salad and bocolli. It was delicious the Pork was just melting in my mouth and cooked to perfection. Salad was yummy and lightly dressed. Brocolli was bright green and just lightly steamed , so good. Partner had the Fish selection .This was served on a huge wooden platter. Bucket of green leaf salad, bowl of coleslaw lightly dressed with generous slices of Smoked Salmon on top. Another bowl has thick cut hot chips with 2 generous sized pieces of fish. Then 2 good sized fish balls and at least 18 melt in the mouth squid rings. Lemon and condiments where also scattered on platter. In reality this platter could easily serve 2 people . Great meal very enjoyable. Great customer service. Carol was still serving at the bar great to see her there for old times sake.Thank you for the best meal we have had out in months.
