Kathmandu Cuisine - Hobart

This restaurant was one of the highlights while staying at Battery Point. The food was amazing especially the goat curry! The staff were friendly and the food was well priced. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I love to taste different cuisines but my dinner was disappointing. A vegetarian noodle dish was very dry and lacking in vegetables. Perhaps dishes of meat- the majority on the menu- may have been more tasty and traditional Nepalese. I was an early diner and the staff were not welcoming, seemed disinterested and I had to get up and find a staff member to take my order after waiting for ages. A seperate dining room at the rear was booked by a group of perhaps Nepalese so popular with their community.

The food at Kathmandu Cuisine in Battery Point was so incredible, we ignored all the other delights here & returned for a second night to enjoy their amazing Tibetan inspired food. The curries are mind blowing & service exemplary. Highly recommend!

Having been to Nepal a couple of years ago I was excited to go here! The food was authentic. Absolutely loved the 'Kathmandu special', was so delicious! The service was friendly and considerate. The banquet was great value.

First time I've eaten Nepalese cuisine and absolutely loved it. Staff were lovely, setting was nice and food was fantastic. Reasonably priced and excellent value for money. Definitely recommend if you are looking at something different to try.
