Mr Burger Food Truck - Hobart

I had been recommended that this was a very good Burger joint. I was told that only one Burger was served with onion rings which i detest on a decent Burger. On ordering my Mr Burger i asked the Manager for plenty of Raw onions and reiterated this to him after my wife ordered the so called Hot Burger. We paid and took a seat. There were 2 people working and 1 man waiting for his takeaway. Our Burgers arrived very quickly compares to other specialist Burger outlets which was slightly worrying but not alarming. Our Burgers were not very hot and nor were they very juicy. I detected a crunchy texture within the Burger which was certainly not raw onion. It tasted and felt like a small onion ring but the relish was pleasant and i was hungry. My wife went quiet and stiff but not in a rapt way. Half way through i opened up my Burger and searched for my raw onions. I couldn't find any but left it as my wife hates complaining and hates it if i complain. We finished and i asked the lady cook about my crunchy bit asto what it was and with out hesitation she replied that it was an onion ring. I told her that my burger shouldn't have had onion rings on it and then she began to wriggle and suggested i had eaten the wrong Burger. Both Burgers were clearly marked however and i got the M. My wife got the H but later told me her few chillies had no heat and she was very disappointed. The lady was now telling me what went on my Burger and mentioned lettuce. No apology was forthcoming and she was belligerent in her attitude. This lack of courtesy i find infuriating and i countered her excuses at every turn. She went and fetched the Manager who also tried to argue and wriggle before eventually apologising. It took me at least 10 minutes to convince him that his worker had confirmed i didn't get Raw Onions so why the run around. They had 2 Burgers to make and they cocked them both up. I hope this review reaches a manager who will retrain these two in what customer service is all about. I will take the free Burger Coupons to the Van and see if they are an improvement. As i said before i found the city store pathetic.

I wanted to like Mr Burger but Mr Burger has unfortunately forgotten the number 1 thing about a good burger.. the meat. Some of the best burgers around the world have a ratio of 70/30 of lean to fat ratio. I don't know what Mr Burger are putting in their meat or even if they're making it themselves? It honestly tastes like they're just buying it from Woolworths already prepared and still forgetting to season it.Now Mcdonalds have never had decent beef and that's why you pay $5 roughly for a Big Mac. Mr Burger is charging $14+ AUD for a burger that is being positioned and priced as gourmet but they're not delivering in their burgers. The bun was also subpar when comparing it to others. The presentation of the burger looks good but unfortunately the taste doesn't match.. Its a shame that Tasmanian's will support a place like this because there just isn't a lot of decent competition or enough people who honestly know what a perfectly cooked burger is supposed to taste like.

Looking for a quick lunch and spotted Mr Burger. "Well," I thought, "it's got to be better than McDonalds." The decor is that urban grunge I love so much and they gave me water in a glass rather than having to buy a plastic bottle. But there the positives came to an abrupt full stop. The food wasn't particularly fast, which makes it even harder to understand why the chips weren't hot. Not only not hot but seasoned with some kind of muck rather than honest salt. The burger? I mean the place is called Mr Burger, right? They have to be able to that bit, surely? Nope. Tasteless meat on a flaccid bread roll.Don't bother.

They offer a small range of burger options but do it well. Lovely staff, fresh produce and cooked to order. Fries can be loaded, I find a burger is plenty but the fries are good. Chicken burger is also delicious, visited several times and it's consistently excellent.

Best burgers in Hobart, a good range, beer on tap as well, workers are great had no problems with my burger it was cooked perfectly, everything run on time 10/10
