Salerno's Pizzeria Sports Hodgkins

I hosted a birthday gathering for adults, and after spending $440.00, I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. The calamari was tough, the pizzas were bland, and the overall atmosphere was quite unappealing. We were seated in a cramped, hot corner, and while we initially received a fan, it was taken away shortly after. The restroom was in poor condition, with numerous holes and broken locks, and the decor felt outdated and cheap. Unfortunately, not a single person in my party of 15 enjoyed anything about this place. I will not be returning.

Our Bartender was Luz and our server was Isabelle and they were both wonderful!! So sweet and friendly. The food quality wasn't the best but the services we received from them both definitely helped get 5 stars for this review. We will be back but not for the food!

We decided to go here since we have been fans of Salerno's for many years and had a taste for some pizza. It was a Friday evening around 730, the place wasn't very busy, we waited close to 10 minutes to get seated, but after that.....we waited close to a half hour before anyone came by us. A waitress dropped us off waters never to be seen again. I had to go to the bar and ask for a server to our table. The gentleman at the bar ended up taking our drink and food orders we finally got our appetizers, one was cold and then our pizza which was supposed to be a thin crust and it was soggy and some of the pieces in the middle the crust was raw! The gentleman tried to make things better, but not once asked to comp something so that's a fail. We left vouching never to return there. Sad what has happened to the name....Salerno's

Do not go here! Waitress was argumentative, Mgr, told me after I asked for extra sauce , that he could give me a 5 lb bucket if I want! Sorry to trouble you, but a 5lb bucket won 't be necessary. I actually had to tell the waitress off, because she was hassling me about ordering more drinks food for others that arrived in my party. Yikes. Don 't need to fight argue to go out enjoy yourself, spend money at their business. Someone, another mgr made good for us , but I will hesitate to go back. Don 't want the hassle, or uneasy feeling of what will happen next time .

If you feel like sweating inside go to Salernos, I ordered chicken vesuvio and now all it is a couple chicken cutlets instead of the half chicken like it use to be for $19, they advertise prices for deals and don’t actually put it on your bill so check your bill before you pay.
