Probably the worst sushi place I've ever been, and I've been to a lot as I love sushi. The rice was dry and only by the smell I had to throw away 2 of my sushi as they obviously waited far too long in that open fridge. Street food doesn't mean **** food. It's an art.
I didn't have a brilliant experience in this place. I came here two times: the first one just for the ice cream and the second for a full meal. The first time I came here, the ice cream machine was broken and I waited half an hour to get my ice cream (which fortunately was really good! . When I came today, I found out that the vegetables were finished (it was just 12:30 p.m. and there was no more vegetarian-friendly condiments (my friend is vegetarian, so she could just buy a coop of noodles and some Japanese sauce, without anything else . In addition, the ice cream machine was broken again! I've paid €7,80 for my noodles and even if they were really good, I think that they were not so tasty, without the vegetables. I won't come again, even if the food is really good. Zero organisation.
This place is amazing if you want really good sushi fast. The staff are also super friendly and helpful with explaining whatever sushi you don't recognise . I reccomend giving it a try if you're in cork
The sushi is ok ish, not the best I've ever had, but not the worst either, then again, I don't expect restaurant quality for this price. What REALLY bothers me though is the excessive use of plastic, this is more than unnecessary. It's handy, sure, but there are better alternatives. If they'd get rid of all the plastic (for example, by not wrapping every sushi individually and therefore removing the self service option) it would easily be a 4 star rating (it's not perfect, but again, way cheaper than restaurant sushi, so that puts it in perspective), but all this plastic just isn't sensible at all.
