Our room was very clean but we had to supply our own sheets, pillow cases, towels, soap, toilet paper etc...no problem as we knew this before hand. The staff was pleasant. We set up our room toilet paper and all in the holder...and decide to head over the Narrows Grill only about 100 feet from the back porch of our room. The menu was small but had enough selection to please most people. I just opted to have chicken wing and fries while my wife had soup and salad. There was nothing fantastically out standing about it but I was good pub grub for the money. We were just finishing our wine and coffee came to the table. Our server said sorry we can 't let you leave right now there is a mama bear and two cubs between the restaurant and your patio. ...We laughed because we thought she was joking but apparently she was not...best part was she brought a few more glasses of wine and they stayed open just for us until mama and the Cubs left....what an interesting dinner... If you can stop by and say hello and book a short stay...nothing fancy and a bit dated but most of all clean and friendly people. Cheers folks...until the next adventure..
The Narrows Grill is not a place to eat if you are hoping to spend time on the water or sightseeing afterwards, as the lunch wait takes up most of the day. The food was not up to par, in the sense that my Caesar Salad was warm and limp, and the club sandwich lacked flavour... I was disappointed this time around. The view is sensational and the servers are wonderful and deserve good tips. Too bad about the long wait and the temperature of the meals.
Took my daughter the Delawana for the weekend and we ended up eating here for diner. Wasn't very busy for the off season by we had a really good meal and the lady who served us was really nice. We both had the fish and poutine. The also have beer and one of the best views of the waterway. They also have dock side parking. We will be back.
The view by the water is fantastic, and the little chipmunk added to the outdoor experience. The food takes a LONG time coming and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was good, but wished I'd ordered a Caesar salad like my last visit. I am not into messy sandwiches or fries, so my fault. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their lunches. I did see a fish and chip plate going to the next table which really looked great, with cole slaw and fries...next time...
Great place to wile away some time on a sunny day. Great service. Accomidating staff. Great menu. Highly recommended as the view off the patio is world class. Great boat traffic to view and admire. Check it out
