Lake Taco - HOOD RIVER

Great dishes. Every dish I've tried had been excellent. The house made corn tortillas are excellent. The potato chips are the best in town.

We were really excited to come eat here, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The food was all tasty but not the best I’ve ever had. The Moreno and the homemade tortillas were were standouts though. Unfortunately, the service was really poor: they didn’t bring utensils, water, or salsas for quite a while. People ordered individual tacos, but they all came out according to the type of taco (ie. One basket of shrimp, one basket of fish) and we didn’t have extra plates to split them up. Not the end of the world but worth noting. They also messed up our order, but they did fix it and the staff were all really nice. Hopefully this was just an anomaly and you’ll have a good time here.

I may have had high expectations, but everything here was just mediocre. The carnitas burrito was very bland. From the meat to the cheese, no flavors coming through. The service was a little slow, and the temperature in the dining area was pretty warm. Maybe it was a bad night.

A must stop any time I’m in Hood River. Amazing food, friendly people, great location.

Lake taco has good tacos and the macho burrito is very macho. I wasnt even able to finish my burrito. The macho burrito let's you pick two meats as well.
