This restaurant offers lunch and dinner services, along with high tea on Sundays, provided there are enough reservations. Guests can discover a variety of antique treasures, from an Andy Griffin piece to a beautiful antique bowl. The venue now hosts events, which must be booked well in advance. It's managed by a delightful retired couple, Mr. Mason and Mrs. Carla. This spot is a beloved staple in the historical district of Hope Mills. Patrons are kindly asked to use the side entrance. Mrs. Carla prepares exquisite dishes inspired by cuisines from around the globe.
I decided to stop by BHT&TR after reading an article about its recent makeover, and I'm so glad I did! What a delightful experience! The charming decor, unique antiques, and delicious food were truly impressive, and the friendly owners made my visit even more enjoyable. Despite arriving less than an hour before closing, they graciously gave me a tour and encouraged me to explore the antiques and collectibles on display. I always pay attention to sanitation grades, typically avoiding places that score below 95. To my delight, I noticed that they had received a perfect 100! I couldn't resist purchasing a few sweet treats to take home—lemon iced thyme cookies, banana pudding, and peanut butter cookies, all of which were absolutely delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend BHT&TR and plan to bring my clients back for tea time soon!
