Was staying on site for a wedding and was provided Buffet for breakfast and dinner and wow did we eat well that weekend! What great food, did not lose quality cooking in bulk for approx. 90 people.
We visited Sea Breeze as part of a wedding and had the opportunity to eat onsite multiple times as part of the festivities. Every meal was of the highest quality in the way it was prepared and presented. I have been to a lot of weddings that were catered in many different ways and this was the by far the best. The experience I had with their large group offering makes me want to return to experience what else they have to offer!
This is a "Must do" when on Hornby. The main building was completely rebuilt after a devastating fire 3 years ago. Beautiful post and beam architecture with a big fireplace, bar with gorgeous countertop. Every night is a different theme, buffet-style, and ranges from French, Greek, Indian etc. Lots to eat, all freshly prepared on site. They try and use as much of the locally grown vegetables etc. Good wine list, reasonably priced. Service is good, mostly local young people always ready to share a joke. The sunsets are out of this world. As this is an "all-inclusive resort" of sorts (alcohol not included) where guests stay in several little cottages scattered along the high bank overlooking the ocean, they eat in the big dining room, and it is highly recommended that you reserve in advance. If you want to also stay at the resort, be prepared to book up to a year in advance as it is hugely popular, with many repeat guests. There is a grass tennis court, and Wednesday afternoon is "Martini tennis", with lots of giggles and fun. This is the Pearl of Hornby!!We love, love, love it.
We had margaritas that were fantastic. Beer. Wings, Mussles and fish tacos. Very good. It was packed full of locals of all ages.
