Park Lane Chippy - Hornchurch

I ordered some undercooked chips that were soggy. The restaurant refused to put extra butter on my roll because they claimed that's how they are supposed to come. I've had to call this restaurant before because all my food came cold and the man on the phone was very hostile, demanding that I bring the food back. I was only trying to let them know so that future customers wouldn't have the same experience. Overall, very disappointing.

Definitely the best in the area, worth passing a few nearer ones.

The restaurant advertises cod and chips outside, but once inside, customers are asked to choose the size of fish they want and charged more without being informed of any special offer. The medium fish we ordered turned out to be very small and tasteless, similar in size to the small portion but more expensive. The chips were also soggy. As a new customer, I requested individual portions of chips without being informed of the cheaper family size option that would have provided more food. It seems that the business owners lack the expertise to cook traditional fish and chips, as it is not their native dish. The only positive aspect of the restaurant is its cleanliness. Despite advertising the freshness of the fish and the use of quality ingredients like Marie piper potatoes, the reality is that the fish and chips served are subpar and the establishment seems more interested in making money than providing a quality dining experience. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

The food was delicious, the fresh fish was fantastic, and the staff was friendly.
