The Mai Tai Shrimp Tuesday lunch special was really good.
Came first time as a freshman and got the spring rolls hoping for something different than dorm-food. Came out hot but as soon as I took one bite the inside was completely frozen. They remade them (which they just fried them even more until they came out almost completely black) and still had a funky taste. Decided to give a full meal a shot and for the price the portion wasn't bad but about 6-8 hours later my body said otherwise and I had food poisoning. I'll give everything a fair shot but I can't say I'm glad I gave Azza Cafe one.
I've had kimchi fries before, so I was excited to try them at this location. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed. I received a bed of fries with a thin layer of spicy mayonnaise and MAYBE two tablespoons of kimchi. It's more like fries with a side of kimchi and a side of spicy mayonnaise.I also purchased the Japanese matcha with creamer. The only thing I could taste was sugar and a faint green tea flavor. I LOVE matcha, and I couldn't taste it at all in this drink.Despite not liking the food, I think the atmosphere is pretty chill and laid back. It's the perfect location for studying.
Really good! Pricey, like most places on campus. However, the selection is amazing, the food is delicious, and the service is always great. They move quickly too, which is great if you're looking for food in between classes!
