Contribuisci feedbackI always receive excellent service at this restaurant. I have dined here multiple times, but I do have one suggestion. I once received a sandwich with a jalapeño that still had the white membrane on it. It greatly affected the taste of the sandwich and my appetite. I regularly eat reapers and ghost peppers, but this almost ruined my rock and roll beef Banh Mi. For the price I paid for the sandwich, it was disappointing. Despite this, I will continue to be a customer and will stick with steamed pork in the future. To the person who complained about the meat in their pho being raw, you clearly don't understand what pho is. This restaurant is great, but they should consider toning down the spiciness a bit. Love you all. -Chris.
Oui Banh Mi is a dependable option in the neighborhood for fast (and affordable) drive-thru and takeout orders. The restaurant's dining area is not currently available. The food is consistent and satisfying, making it a convenient choice for grabbing lunch on the run or picking up a simple dinner after a busy day. OBM also stays open late, perfect for night owls and anyone exploring the nearby bars.
I am delighted to have good food options in the neighborhood, as opposed to the usual fried chicken and burgers found on every corner. Oui Banh Mi and Les Grival have teamed up to offer a menu featuring dishes from both restaurants. The photo provided showcases their combination fried rice.
Visiting Houston! Heard that really good Vietnamese cuisine exists here and so proceeded to try this one out since it was the only one open when my flight arrived. One of the saddest and worst banh mi sandwiches I have ever tried in my life. I have hadfar better ones from the refrigerator section of the Asian grocery store. It was hardly substantial in the filling nor was thefilling in itself satisfying. Whatever that was there lost its unique flavor. My tofu banh mi sandwich was also smothered in amayo/ranch-like dressing, making it less and less desirable. It reminded me of burger king's chicken sandwich. After a fewbites, I tossed it. I can't speak for any other food items on the menu but purchase and consume at your own risk when it comesto the banh mi! My poor review doesn't end there. The drive through line is tedious. I drove up, ordered at the window andpaid. Since nothing else was said, I assumed that I would be receiving my order in a timely fashion and left my car running atthe window. Little did I know that I would be waiting there at the window by more than 20 minutes for the sandwiches to comeout. Perhaps a better system/flow, customer service by the staffs, and explanation of the process would have greatly informed meof what to expect. Eitherway, I would avoid this establishment if I could, at least until the lobby opens again.
I really want to love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the location is great. However, the service is incredibly slow and it really detracts from the overall experience. Even if you order ahead, the wait time is excessive. I hope they can improve their speed.
