My favorite Sunday brunch item turns out to be the English breakfast plate because it's just sheer genius and with a very wide selection of things on that plate. The chef's wonderful sausage, bacon, fried eggs, beautifully seasoned grilled tomato, and I love the way they prepare their mushrooms. Mr. Picky continues to stick with the shrimp scampi and really loves that with the barbecue sauce instead of the shrimp sauce (I actually prefer the shrimp sauce . For dessert he has decided that the best item on the menu is the passionfruit crème brûlée and I just stole a bite and have to agree that is really delicious and I would definitely consider ordering that. I think it's even better than the sticky toffee pudding. But what I ordered for dessert today was one of the things that I think they do fabulously well here, and that is that I ordered a side of two waffles with butter and syrup. That's just a spectacular way to end the meal : !!!
From front to back, greeting, service and food. All superb. My wife and I are vegan and we were blown away by the vegan fare.
Run, don 't walk, to some of the most absolutely wonderful food in NW Houston! I was so happy to see this restaurant, in a completely new incarnation from where I used to eat years ago when visiting family. We started by sharing a wedge salad with extra blue cheese dressing, because that blue cheese dressing is delicious. It was simple and refreshing and we both enjoyed it immensely. Mr. Picky ordered the TNT Skillet off the brunch menu and really liked the fact that it had a lot of flavor. However, I think I made the better choice with the Schnitzel and Waffles. The two pieces of bacon were cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor. The egg was cooked as perfectly as it can be with that wonderful little bit of brown around the edges, and yet the yoke still soft that was genius and whoever cooked it, a big thank you to them. The chicken schnitzel was OK, I 'm probably prejudiced because I like veal schnitzel better but what was absolutely incredible on that plate was the grouping of three small round waffles. Oh my word! I cannot help the fact that I 'm one of those people that likes to eat one thing at a time on my plate, I know it 's weird, but that 's just how it is. I had saved those three waffles to the end and, because I 'm a bit of a purist, I had asked the waitress to bring butter for my waffles and also extra maple syrup. Yes, you heard me, it 's not that phony, fake rubbish, it 's real maple syrup. Well, I made the mistake of saying to Mr. Picky , Oh my word, this waffle is the best I 've ever had in my life, try a bite! The result of that was that he told me I should eat healthy food, and he pushed his remaining skillet meal across the table to me, and then helped himself to my plate of waffles, and pulled it across the table to his side. Yes, he stole my waffles! I 'm a huge fan of sticky toffee pudding so we both ordered that for dessert with extra sauce. What can I say, it 's just amazing and if you 've never tried it, you should!
Amazing! This place never disappoints. Quality food and service. Definitely up there with some of the best restaurants inside the loop. (Houston) Love this place!
Great food and wonderful service. Glad it is back under original management. Love the originality of the menu items
