They have maki and other chinese viands. Our favorite is the Little Store Lumpia! It’s a vegetable lumpia with crushed peanuts and the sauce is so good! One piece is a meal in itself! #musttry
I used to not eat lumpia until I had one here. My friend who’s a foodie took me here. I had soya drink and the meat less lumpia cos I can’t eat pork.
It’s the lumpia that sets the difference. All other food items are the same as those other chinese restos. Don’t expect much of an ambiance. Its very down to earth. Items are expensive though. The grocery items I mean.
My friends and I have been going back to the Little Store over and over again to shop for products that are never easy to find anywhere else: wintermelon tea (blocks that you have to boil , diff. kinds of mushroom, silky tofu, granola (theirs are way cheaper compared with SM products , mirin, sake, among many, many others. However, it was only today that we got the chance to sit down and eat on the store. We have previously ordered their fresh lumpia, shrimp relleno, and kikiam to go and here's my personal verdict: Fresh lumpia: 5/5 (only if you like the leafy-taste of fresh coriander Shrimp relleno: 2/5 Kikiam: 4/5 (I still prefer the Binondo kikiam . Today we got their congee (plain , cured duck, and century egg. Congee: 5/5 (no taste at all; you are left to put the seasonings on your food i.e. a winner for me; there are flavored options though: beef, chicken, etc. Cured duck: 5/5!! (such a huge hit for us Century egg: (the usual, though I hope they sliced it thinly rather than put two halves on a plate . I look forward to trying the other foods on their menu. I'm sure, we're going back to the Little Store many, many times next year!
This is always our go-to place for affordable Chinese comfort food I love the fact they also sell frozen dumplings which you can bring home and steam it yourself for those midnight cravings
