Appeals to have seemingly enticing exterior and was not disappointed. You get a homey feeling inside which is ideal for meetings and family occasions. Not your busy resto. Tried their pasta dishes baked mac and carbonara which are both good and presented well. Friendly staff and price is also ok. Try it!
Toast Manila is a cozy dining place situated in San Juan. Ideal for quiet and intimate dining. They offer limited menu which makes decision making easy. It is a small area where you get to see what is being done in the kitchen area. It gives you a feel of home. Parking is sufficient to accommodate a full house. The Carrot and Pumpkin Chowder with Vanilla Ice Cream caught our attention while checking the menu, and because we love soup, we had to try this one. The ice cream serves the same purpose as the regular cream we are more familiar with which is topped in creamy soups. This was served in a bowl bare with just the ice cream and a piece of cracker, where they pour the hot, creamy soup in front of you. Aside from soups and salads, Toast Manila also offers: Pasta, Native Classics, Flavors from Around the World, Sandwiches, Toast, and Sweets. We chose another from the the Native Classics: Beef Tapa. When we have meals like tapa, tocino or longganisa, we always order extra rice and sunny side up eggs. So we did too when we ordered Tapa not knowing it comes with 2 sunny sides, so we ended up having 4 eggs with the Tapa! Aside from the eggs, this comes with enough serving of garlic rice and atchara. We also decided to have something from their Chef's Special for the day... Sausage and Onions. This is something new to us seems like a different take on a salad. Interesting combination of sauteed onions and sausage, salad greens, and croutons. It was a challenge whether to consume this like a salad or separately. Nonetheless, we liked it. Ours was a positive experience. Not the best though, but we will be back to try others on their menu.
My go to place for all my meetings. Staff are very accommodating, coffee is good and the food is really good as well! The owner is very accommodating as well. She's very hands on too. Definitely coming back!
One of the best beef tapa in the country! Their homemade Tocino is good as well! You can tell that everything is done fresh! I think the only clean restaurant in the area, because of its white interiors! Looking forward to trying out their other items!!!
