The Pelican - Hout Bay

Went for a walk with my daughter the other Sunday and walked into Ta Da. Such friendly staff and very fast service. We ordered 2 crepes with sweet fillings and wow, wish we ordered more. It was mouth watering to say the least. I had a cappuccino and it was fantastic and believe me I am a expert cappuccino addict. We left happy and Ta Da is now on our Sunday afternoon peaceful walk in list for a treat . It even takes away the Sunday Blues

Really cute little place, nice quaint little modern coffee shop atmosphere.<br/ <br/ The breakfasts are pretty great (decent range of breakfast options that look pretty spectacular when they arrive at the table but oddly enough... I can't quite recommend the crêpes. <br/ <br/ Don't get me wrong there's a lovely selection of flavours/fillings but when they get to the table are a bit disappointing as they are lacking in the actually quantity of filling I'm not talking about the more expensive fillings (feta, seeds etc. but crêpes hardly having any banana or spinach (when they seem to be the main ingredients and my entire party I was with (from quite reasonable eaters to pigeon stomached friends ordered 2 crêpes which is in itself is a bit disappointing when you can have a whole burger for a similar price as the savoury crêpes just down the road.<br/ <br/ I don't mean to sh@ all over this place cause I really do like it here, it's a real little jem that I would visit again again.<br/ It's truly an almost perfect little quirky coffee/breakast/brunch spot.<br/ Everything else is great, just up the filling a little bit! <br/

Spare ribs were awsome....best i have tasted for years... well priced for 300gms. Brilliant staff...polite and extremely helpful. Setting is great Thanks to your staff, i will definitely be back

Its casual, a little bit quirky, great coffee. Great pancakes if you like that sort of thing. Its licenced and open in the evenings. Indoor and outdoor seating.

We discovered this place by accident, but immediately loved the rustic interiors of the place. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food arrived quickly. The food was just out of this world! We recommend the fresh fruit juices, the burgers, sweet potato chips and nachos.
