The Wharfside Grill - Hout Bay

I love this restaurant as it has magnificent food and views of the harbor.My family and I always enjoy Sunday lunches at this spot and our all time favorite dishes to order are the garlic butter prawns and sole fish with fries, the seafood is always fresh and tasty.Apart from the food and location being superb, the service is excellent as well.I would highly recommend this spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch with the family.

This place has a great view of the sea from the upper deck and as for the food, the seafood couldn't get much fresher. The lemon butter made a very great combination with the squid and fish. and of course salmon rolls which were perfectly prepared. It was very delightful experience and a great hang out place for lunch.

Amazing food and service. Highly recommended especially their grilled prawns and calamari. Very cozy place. Good for a romantic dinner. The view of the ocean is breath taking.

The best seafood I've had in all my years of living in Cape Town, fresh and a the portion are very generous. Only problem was the price tag but then again no fresh seafood comes cheap. Amazing views

Main reason why you should visit this restaurant is the location. The view on the harbor is just what you need on a sunny day in Hout Bay .Second reason is the decor, beautifully resembling the interior of an old boat. The food could definitely be better. It's way too full of heavy sauces , butter , cream , mayo... Unfortunately all these ingredients cover the flavour of the fish, so my intention of having a light fish lunch was disappointed. Still I would go back, the place is just too beautiful, I'll try the meat next time.
