California Cafe E.I.R.L - Huaraz

Breakfast was very good. They bake their own bread, which is soooo good, coffee is also delicious. Juan and the owner were super nice to us.

Found California Cafe via the internet. Turns out the owner is from Santa Cruz. They roast their own beans and understand what coffee is about. Same with juice blends actually. It became part of my morning routine in Huaraz as the staff was so friendly...and accommodating. My only wish would be to have decaf espresso. Got to keep the doctor happy.

We had a wonderful lunch here. Ordered a sandwich, falafel and chocolate cake. Highly recommend everything.

This cafe rocks. I've personally been to both the #1 and #2 rated Cafe's in Huaraz and although both have its merits, I prefer California Cafe because of its traditional cafe ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. I was traveling to Huaraz this past May with some friends to see the local hikes and natural sites. We had just come back from a long hike to Laguna 69 and really wanted to relax after a long day on our feet. There we were greeted by a friendly waitress who took our order of falafels and tea. By the way, the teas here are amazing, fresh leaves and brewed right to order. The food was prepped perfectly as well. After eating, we spent the next couple hours to charge our laptops and phones at the several tables and outlets that were available to patrons. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to relax and have some gourmet coffees or teas and food. You will not be disappointed.

California café is a nice café with a relaxing atmosphere. The food they have is good but I wouldn't go here for diner. They got some couches where you can relax and read one of the many books which are available on the bookshelves. They have also lots of boardgames available which you can play. Further there is good WiFi available. Overall a nice place to hang out and relax!
