This is a charming rural pub with a stunning view. The friendly staff serve delicious, flavorful meals alongside a great selection of real ales and wines. I highly recommend it.

Called in on the off-chance of there being a table available. Lovely lunch, cooked to perfection, nicely presented by very friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely worth a return visit.

I called in here when we were passing. I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the staff. When the food came I wasn't expecting it to look and taste as good as it did. Will be going again soon thanks

We arrived around 8 PM, and the place was very busy with diners and drinkers. Since we hadn’t made a reservation, we were informed there would be about a one-hour wait. This gave us the chance to enjoy a few drinks and have some conversation before our meal. Despite the wait, the chef kept track of our table, and we were seated promptly when it was ready. The menu features a mix of dishes. I ordered the pâté, while my friend had the tandoori chicken in a naan. My father enjoyed his meal, and the naan looked appetizing. For our mains, we chose the meat and potato pie served with mushy peas, and I had the roast pork with crackling and the usual vegetables. The pork was excellent, nicely cooked, and served with crispy crackling. One appealing aspect of the menu is that they offer half-portions of most main courses, which I found helpful since my wife typically prefers smaller portions. This allows her more options without feeling overwhelmed. The staff, although young, were efficient and knowledgeable. We didn’t feel rushed, and service was prompt. Overall, we had a lovely evening in this bustling restaurant. If you’re planning to dine at a specific time, I recommend making a reservation, as it tends to be busy on different days.
