Ichitaro Dining - HYDE PARK

Tiny yummy Japanese restaurant next door to The Pot in King William road. I found the entrees more delicious than the mains. Worth a visit but not much ambience

From the moment you enter, the decor delights the visual senses, the welcome greeting from staff as they guide you to a table, says this will be good. the room is small, but seating is generous and not cluttered. The furniture contemporary and comfortable. The service here is impeccable. The wine list is adequate but not huge, and prices as is typical of Adelaide dining, about half what you would expect to pay on the eastern seaboard. there is a good selection of Japanese beers and beverages.  The food is fresh and ever so tasty. It is served hot and cooked to perfection. The Sashimi is delicious. The fried octopus is a worthy entree, as is the kingfish. For mains we shared the teriyaki chicken and the roast duck cooked with Yuzu sauce. Fabulous. An unbeatable experience.

Excellent restaurant, the food is delicious, well presented, original and fresh. Flavours are amazing, complex yet simple. Service is outstanding in a casual relaxed but refined atmosphere. Well done.

As though you're eating in a fantastic restaurant in Japan. They are that good! Cosy, courteous staff, and overall superb Japanese dining experience.

What a terrible change for the worse has come over this restaurant in the last 9 months. The food is now very ordinary and the service is haphazard. No longer special, alas.
