Longhorn Steakhouse - Idaho Falls

I had been looking forward to celebrating my birthday at this restaurant. When I visited their website to get on the waiting list, I found out that for a party of six, I needed to call the location directly. After calling, I was informed that it was first come, first served. I arrived at 5:30 on a Wednesday and was told it would be a 20-minute wait. However, after waiting for 30 minutes and watching at least 30 groups of four get seated ahead of us, I inquired about the wait time again. The staff member told me it would be another 20 minutes. I've always enjoyed their food and have previously recommended it to others, but the way we were treated during this visit was unacceptable. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future.

Sara was an excellent waitress, and all the hosts were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. I absolutely love this restaurant!

This is my second visit to this restaurant, and I've tried different dishes each time, both of which were excellent. On this occasion, I had a beautifully cooked tender steak, and the attentive staff provided great service. I will definitely return!

I'm not sure what changed over the last few weeks, but I probably will not go back. Two weeks ago I ordered my normal ribeye, and it was half the thickness it normally is. I ordered medium rare and it came back medium well. The waiter misheard me on the order, but told me that was why the steak was so thin. I went back last week, and made sure the waiter heard me. It came back again just as thin but was cooked correctly...temperature wise, but had so much salt it burned my throat. Pretty bummed.

This was my first visit to longhorn in a long time. I was in the mood for steakhouse steak so headed over. Atmosphere was nice and bar staff was attentive. I ordered the outlaw ribeye at the suggestion of the server along with fries and a salad. Fries and salad were just fine, the steak however was disappointing. This is a big piece of meat, no question about that. But the amount of fat and connective tissue in it made it hard to cut and even harder to chew. It was tasty and cooked well though a little rarer than I ordered but so hard to cut I had to get creative. By the time I finished I had buyers remorse.
