Settlers Tavern - Ingle Farm

Wish I could give more stars thn just 3 because the hotel plan is really well laid out. What lets it down is the poor bar service in the sports bar and gaming area where staff like talking amongst themselves instead of serving. Meals are bland but the dining room is great, especially if you have a gathering or an event. So there's room for improvement for the meals and some of the staff need to be educated on customer service. This problems are fixable.

We went for lunch at settlers today (22/7). I didn't catch the ladies name who served us but she said was of German background. She was totally amazing, running the bar, taking orders and bringing out the food to the customers. Was working solo and did an amazing job. The food was yummy as always, the steaks cooked to perfection and the salad bar and vegetable bar delightful. Family friendly as has a kids playground indoors, so mums and dads can be tranquil to be able to see their kids and have a wonderful meal at the same time. Have been many a times and will definitely be going back again.

Had grandsons 3rd birthday party on saturday 8th july. There were 24 people at the party. I wish to congratulate barbara (manager) for a fantastic job she did for us. She welcomed us with a friendly smile and staff were great too. The meals were fantastic and everything went well in bringing the meals out. A big thankyou to the cook/s who did a fantastic job. Thankyou once again barbara for all your help and making our grandsons birthday a happy occassion. We will be back.

We were a group of ten and were given a table between other tables and the children's play room. After 5 minutes of kids running and screaming from their family table to the play room, we asked to be moved and the staff immediately helped us to another table at the opposite end of the room. We were impressed. The food took a little longer to arrive that we thought it should as the dining room was not particularly busy. However, when the food was served, it was well worth the wait. The serves were generous, but not so big that you had to struggle to finish the meal. The only disappointing meal was a beef Tandoori curry. The flavour of the curry, the rice and yoghurt were excellent and it was " medium hot " as far as the spice went, but the curry was not even warm, temperature wise. I think the curry had been cooked and then added with the other ingredients into a cold bowl. Placing hot food onto cold plates is a real "no-no". All of the other meals were excellent and good value. There is not a huge choice of dishes, so the ones the Settlers provides are well presented, well cooked ( apart from the Tandoori Beef ) and realistically priced. The dining room is clean, relatively quiet away from the kids play area and not overcrowdwd with tables. There is a good choice of beers, wines and spirits. We will be back.

Friendly staff, great service, well priced, great atmosphere and delicious food. Very happy (yet again!), will keep coming back. AAA+++
