You would think this clean, hole-in-the-wall would have below average food but on the contrary, the food is DELICIOUS, homemade, and inexpensive! I've tried their chicken tostada salads, tacos, soups, nachos, and everything has been tasty! Their aromatic, meatball soup with fresh cilantro and lime is reminiscent of visiting traditional on a visit to your favorite abuelita's (grandma's) house who can cook her fanny off. Man, who knew soup can be so flavorful! They offer a different soup everyday of the week. I love the fact that they make homemade tortillas and salsa. They also have an Aguas Frescas (fresh juice) section where you can buy juices, fruit and snacks. My favorite juice is the Vampiro (Vampire) which is fresh beet juice, celery, apples, kale, carrots and I forget what else but it's yummy! The medium is like $3.00 and I know I'm getting lots of vitamins by drinking it. I highly recommend this authentic, family-owned, homey Mexican restaurant. It's one of those best kept secrets.
Everything is great but the tacos de camarí³n stand out. Best I've had in the LA area.
Great breakfast, especially the Chilaquilez. My only complaint is they rarely ever get the eggs right the way I ask for them. They tend to over cook them to where the yolk is dry.
The restaurant was a bit pricey for my liking. The service I received was not good. I paid almost $18 for 6 tacos and a lime.
