We had read these reviews first prior to dining in which gave us a heads up on meal portions. My husband and I shared one entree and a main with rice which was delicious and the perfect amount of food.
Had a lovely lunch, shared 3 dishes between 4 of us .Service was excellent, asked for chili on the side, was asked how hot...fresh or sauce. Will make it a must for my innisfail visits!
We do tend to buy from the Gumloon when Wai Young is closed for the night. The food here is great and the service fairly fast but the steep steps up into the venue tends to be offputting for family nights as our daughter is in a wheelchair.
Besides climbing up a flight of stairs so not recommendable for elderly or handicapped the place was empty so NO atmosphere. It is a shame that the Chinese restaurants always try to adapt to what they "THINK" is the Australian taste. We look for the genuine taste and not with added sugar.... Prices and portions reasonable but service could have been more forth coming. Wouldn't go back!
