Taco Bell - Iowa City

Update: I'm giving it 1 star; I wish I could rate it at 0. They wanted to close at 12:30! Also, they only accept cash. If you're that unhappy with your job, maybe it's time to move on. This is honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Iowa City.

I haven't visited this taco place in the last five years, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything was made during my visit last night. The chalupa was perfect, and the oil wasn't overwhelming in my crispy cantina chicken tacos. However, there was one notable exception: the cheese sauce. It was more like a thick paste than actual sauce, and subpar nacho cheese can be quite problematic. It seems to be a recurring issue with Taco Bell, so I can't blame the young staff too much for it.

I have starved and out of town. this place is open and it also says dive. but doors are locked and no one answers the phone. very disappointed and should not expect from here good service or eating. very rude

I've attempted to eat at this Taco Bell twice recently, but both times they said their credit card machine was down and could only accept cash, which I didn’t have, resulting in lost sales for them. Today, I tried to place an order at the drive-thru, but I was told they weren’t taking personal orders because they were so far behind. They turned away my business three times—I'm definitely not coming back!

Not the best Taco Bell. Always closes before 2:00 AM even though that’s when they are suppose to be open till. I think they should change their closing time since their employees seem to close 30 minutes early 24 7. Really irritating.
