Gatehouse - Ipswich

All the meals were cooked to perfection and presented well. Everything is freshly cooked and piping hot when it arrives at the table. Nice restaurant for an evening out.

On the experience of the first dinner we booked again for two days later. We were not disappointed. This is a restaurant I would use regularly if I lived closer. The quality of food and standard of presentation was what I would expect at rosette or a Michelin star restaurant. Not pretentious, just good food prepared and presented well. Whilst not the widest range of choice, what they do, they do well.

I ate here on two occasions during a recent stay. On both nights I was offered two menus; an a la carte and a set price menu with a choice of one, two or three courses. The food was absolutely delicious. I has the 2 course set menu on both occasions and can recommend both the lamb and the steak. I LOVED the garnish of spinach and tiny mushrooms (Enoki? . The goats cheese starter was amazing and the cheeseboard very good. There is a reasonable wine list. I would definitely eat there again and look forward to another visit. (Hotel is good too!

The restaurant had a very good selection, a very well priced 3 course set menu with choice. Plus a bar menu that offered a variety of very reasonably priced alternatives.

We ate here for both evenings during our stay at the hotel. A great choice of either A La Carte or bar menu. A La Carte had a good selection of starters, Mains of Chicken, Lamb, Steak, Fish or Vegetarian and some nice desserts
