The chairs were super comfortable and warm (it was freezing outside) as they were covered in fur and the staff was very welcoming (Xavier and Laszlo in particular). The restaurant gives a sense of relaxation and quietness. Service was quick and attentive but not intrusive and we had the most amazing Gin Tonic made with Portobello Gin. The food was very different to anything experienced before, I loved the chicken with linguine and my partner loved his lamb. We would have re-eaten the same dish again! We are planning to go back again tonight as we had such a nice time there!
I have visited this restaurant a few times for the pre-theatre menu, and I have even attended a show at Sadler's Wells, which is just a 10-minute walk away. The food is excellent, with the lamb being a standout choice, and the cheese board is quite generous. The staff are friendly, efficient, and attentive without being overwhelming.
We booked our office Christmas Dinner, enticed by the all included wine in £75x person 2 course meal. We were left hungrier than when we arrived. The main course consisted in 3 small rolls of a thin layer of turkey with some mousse inside. 4 Brussels sprouts (I know) and a tiny slice of potato cake. And thats it!! I hehe eaten larger starters, never mind first and main course. The Christmas puddings, were tiny moulds soooo hard to cut through.Later on I saw one of the cook going into the kitchen with a tray of pre-made long rolls wrapped into cling film. It must cost them 50p x roll and they can feed to 10 people with it. Very poor service too. We were left from 1pm to 2 pm before the food appeared. They filled the glasses to 1/4 and from time to time they would come and refill up to the same level. I wonder how many office Christmas parties made the same mistake to book at 155.
Visited 155 with a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and serviceThis venue is massive and even has it's own wine cellar on the ground floor. Highly recommend.
I held my 30th Birthday Brunch celebrations here a few weekends ago. Considering there were 28 of us, the staff were very attentive and catered to us all. The food was delicious and the venue was lovely. After brunch, we all moved to the piano lounge and continued making the most of the bottomless prosecco. The events management team were ace at organising the event for me and sending me menus in advance so that my guests could pre-order their meals. I would return without a doubt, many of my friends also complimented the venue asking how I had found out about it. Thank you for an amazing day to remember and for catering for such a large group!
