This restaurant is a bargain and a real traditional pie and mash shop. The decor is classic and staff friendly and the pie are freshly made.
It was good to fund a pie and mash shop for lunch as we were passing through Chapel Market while walking between 2 sections of the Regent's Canal. Good pies, good mash, good liquor, plus chilli vinegar if you ask for it. Can't fault it.
Established over 100 years ago and looks like nothing has been updated since. I ordered a pie and mash and got a very uninteresting pie, enormous quantity of mash covered in something that claimed to be parsley sauce. Awful. The restaurant has a lot of possibilities if one updated everything about it.
At 59 years old and lived 5 mins away from the market used to have pie a day mash most Saturdays then off to the record shop that was next door. Loved and still do to this day love pie and mash. Also the apple fritter man that was 1/2 way down that was my dessert or the ice cream parlors.Miss Kay Hennessy
