Glorietta Trattoria - Jackson

Highly recommended if someone who understands Hebrew comes to Jackson Hole ? Excellent Bolognese, really. They prepared children 's dishes for us meat balls and everything was very tasty. Not really a place for children by definition and we got along great.

First of all the lighting is extremely dim making reading the menu nearly impossible. Second, the noise level was very high. Sounded more like a bar than fine dinning atmosphere. Finally, the waitress told us she was new and in training. She did not have the waitress training her with her. It was very obvious the mew waitress was very nervous and unsure of herself, like she had received little to no training and was not ready to be on her own. She did take our drink order, but after 15 min she returned to take our for order even though we had still not received our drinks. She went to check on or drink order. We could see her fumbling with order slips with the bartender. It seemed as though our order was never turned in and certainly never followed up on. She returned saying our drinks would be ready in a few min. All this being said, this was not a good experience. We ended up canceling our drinks and found somewhere else to dine.

Made a reservation for 5 pm at 12 pm…I am in from out of town. They called me at 345 to let me know they screwed up and there is a party that wanted to come in so they needed to cancel my reservation. I explained that I was already in town from the Tetons and drove an hour. They offered a wine glass for the next time I am in town!

Swanky looking place inside. Loud, but that is due to the popularity of the place, the packed bar, and the lack of sound absorbing materials. Our server was attentive and professional. My companions enjoyed their steak entrees and meatball and eggplant appetizers. Drinks were very good. My fresh pasta was def not home made and was lacking in flavor. Portions were small esp the pasta. $540 for 4 people. Overall decent, but waaay overpriced by at least 50%.

We have absolutely LOVED our diner at Glorietta. From the service (impeccable , wine selection, food and decor/ambiance, everything was just perfect. We have been on the road for the last 3 months and tried several restaurants and this one is by far our favorite. STRONGLY recommend :
