Jasper House Dining Lounge

The property of JHB is beautiful, but unfortunately, the dining area does not live up to the rest of the property. We were disappointed to be charged $15 each for a disappointing brunch that included canned fruit. I would recommend dining elsewhere.

We arrived at the restaurant just before breakfast service ended, after the large tour bus had already departed. Despite this, the staff kindly prepared fresh hot pancakes, hash browns, and extra crispy bacon for us. The bacon was the crispiest I've had in a long time. Delicious!

It wasn't very busy when I was there but the service and food were quite good. Nice, open but fairly plain decor.

This restaurant is a disaster - the staff is friendly, the menu is promising, but the kitchen is a complete failure. The cook can only handle a small number of customers at once, so expect delays in getting your food. The quality of the food ranges from average to below average, and it is unacceptable to wait 45 minutes for just two cheeseburgers. The presence of tour groups staying at the motel only adds to the long wait times.

It is worth the drive into Jasper for breakfast or lunch. Dinner was good both nights we ate here. Portion size good. Mid range price. Breakfast was awful both days. Cold uncooked scrambled eggs, weird sausage, stale cereal and a toaster that takes forever to...More
