Clancy's Brasserie - Jindabyne

I have been a regular visitor to Clancy's Brasserie for some years now, it was my first visit of the year last Thursday night and had managed to score some buy one get one free meal vouchers off the Banjo Patersons Inns app.We had reserved a table, which wasn't an issue, as there were a few other couples with us. It was busy, but no busier than I have seen it during the snow season rush. All the couples ordered garlic bread, we were the first of the couples to order. So it was a surprise when all our other friends received their garlic bread, and we did not. We were patient, 10 mins, 15 mins passed, and my husband approached the staff to check if our buzzer was working, as we had watched a plate of garlic bread sitting on the counter for the last 15 mins we had waited, which had not been collected, and we had a sneaking suspicion it was ours.The waitress was quite rude to my husband, and sent him away. Another 10 mins went past, and knowing our main meals were certainly almost on the way (defeating the need for garlic bread now), I approached the counter. After some discussions, the plate that had sat on the counter now for 25mins was given to me, no apology, and no admittance that it had sat there for the last 25 mins and in fact someone had forgot to buzz us.Our meals arrived then, my lamb shanks were perfectly cooked and well presented, however the medium steak my husband ordered was blue and uneatable, and after the previous experience, he simply couldn't be bothered dealing with the staff and left the steak pretty much untouched. When the waitress took the plate asking if he was finished (because lets face it- it looked like it hadn't been touched) she didn't take it upon herself to ask if there was any problems- which is quite unprofessional.We had thought maybe we were just the unlikely ones of the evening, but as it turned out, our other friend who ordered a steak was also quite displeased and had left hers uneaten also. In her own words, "I guess its much better to come here in the offseason when they have more time and love to put into their food" I doubt we will be back during winter here again, its just not worth it.

Previous reviews encouraged us to have dinner here. Whilst the beer is not cheap, we picked a spot near the fireplace to have dinner. The lamb shanks were to die for but the veggie pot was **** awful. Certainly worth visiting.

Lamb shank, the most delicious. Great environment and great staff. Greater place to have a good time with family and friends.

It's a pub so it's very busy, had the lamb shanks .. tasty. Service was fine,clean pub. There isn't not much choice for dinner in the local area. But the pub is fine to go to.

Had dinner there the other night and apart from the fact that it is a bistro that is a bit expensive the food was really very good.
