From the minute we walked in we felt very welcomed. Even more so because we had our 3 and 7 year old with us and I was really concerned that we might be treated differently. But my children were treated just as equally to all the other patrons. The food was fresh and tasted amazing (even my 2 picky eaters couldn't get enough). It was the perfect way to end our long awaited family holiday.
Don't think this is a Japanese restaurant. If you think so, you may be disappointed. It's a good restaurant in this town.
This was our second visit in 3 days. Again it didn’t disappoint with fantastic service by the friendly staff. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The wines by the glass and Sapporo beer on tap were also very reasonable. Highly recommend
It is great to have a Japanese restaurant in the heart of jindabyne. the local and visitors are of course agreed because there was a good crowd and lively mood. we arrived without a booking and were housed without too much. the service was a bit on the slow side and it lacked money and attention. we have ordered gyoza, tempura-eiplantat and ramen. would have wanted a pork catsu curry, but it was scratched on the menu. gyoza came in reasonable time and was in order. ramen was a bit slow, quite acceptable with the highlight of a soft to blunt egg yolk. the tempura was a disappointment. it came well after ramming, although it was ordered as starter. it was peeled and cut into pretty thick pieces. the teig was a bit thick and blond. it was served a mis-based sauce instead of a traditional dipping sauce (soy, mirin, dashi and zucker). I expect there was one or two problems in the kitchen that affected our experience. overall no bad experience, but with a bit more attention to service, a culinary organization would have made it for us to a four to five star experience.
