We came to this restaurant for a meeting. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. the staff were so friendly and we felt good. The meal was great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. we highly recommend this place.
I've been here for years. very good food and service. sometimes you have to wait a bit until the hell is done, but that is in the ordinary only the busy times to doubt. fresh fries and creamy coleslaw make great sides.
My family and I went here after a road trip from Michigan. It was around 8:45 or 9 pm. The employees were acting as if they were about to close and didn't want to make anymore chicken or sides. They close at 10! Everything we ordered for sides they said they were out of it. I was so confused because I was looking right at it. It was as if they were trying to save it for themselves. We ended up getting a family dinner with the sides that they were willing to let go. It was ok the chicken wasn't hot nor fresh. Fried okra, biscuits, and mac n cheese were pretty good.
I'll only go when the Spanish lady is cooking the food. I generally go every week or every other week when they have the two-piece special but they have some new choice items added to the menu like the little chicken and biscuit bites. They're pretty good the biscuit bites taste better than the actual whole biscuits because they have more honey butter flavor on them. I'm a little disgusted though from this past Tuesday. I went up to get a refill on my drink and I happened to notice the new cook touch himself inappropriately while he was holding a spatula in his other hand. It grossed me out! Ugh! I I really hope he washed his hands behind that because he surely didn't know I saw him. He didn't even try to make an attempt to go and wash his hands while I was standing there but I was leaving and we had already eaten. Thank God but still in the near future, I'm really concerned. Oh and he wasn't wearing any type of gloves on his hands either. Just the thought of what happened as I play it back in my head, unfortunately, it makes me cringe! I'm not sure if I want to go there for a while or till they hire someone else or whatever the case is or maybe reposition him to do the register or something else other than handling food.
