El Ranchito - Joliet

El Ranchita used to be a favorite spot for my friends and me for years. However, the restaurant has really declined during Covid. Even the salsa and margaritas were hard to stomach! The food has become barely passable, but the margaritas were way too sweet and tasted artificial. It's a shame, but we won't be returning.

This used to be one of our preferred spots for ice cream and drinks. However, as soon as Dallas permitted restaurants to reopen, the quality declined. We gave it another try on 1/16/22 and while it had improved slightly, our group is not willing to make a 20-mile drive just to go there again. The overall experience was mediocre, and the drinks did not meet our expectations.

Overpriced and expired food that is not even authentic Mexican cuisine. It seems like they have to use up their products or meat the same day they buy it. El Ranchito is taking advantage of the pandemic to raise prices on what they claim to be high quality food.

Love their fruit stand, always fresh, always delish. I always get the watermelon fruit bowl and the cucumber fruit bowl Don't forget the salt lime and tahini a Mexican delicacy

During this crisis they are price gouging. They have been reported to the government. Any place of business that takes advantage of people in the time of need don’t deserve our money
