Vela's - Joliet

We had an excellent dining experience at Vela's tonight. My wife and I shared the chicken fajitas, which were delicious. The margaritas were also fantastic. The owner came over to our table, and we learned that our waitress has been with the restaurant for 13 years. This is exactly the type of family-run establishment that deserves your support.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I found the staff to be very friendly. While I didn’t order any food, the drinks were quite good. The DJ was playing some great Tex-Mex music, which really added to the atmosphere and was a big hit! I definitely plan on coming back.

The steak and potato burritos were excellent! The bartender was very friendly and welcoming too!

The owner and bartender are se of the best host I have ever met. It's my to go spot! Totally recommend.

I love every experience I have coming to this restaurant. Its food, warm and friendly environment, and the kindness of the owner speak for themselves. A great spot to step into for a quick lunch or to kick back for a few hours and have a beer or two. Affordable prices and great serving sizes favorite thing to get are the Steak and Potato tacos, traditional style, on corn tortillas with plenty of green salsa! Highly recommend eating here!
